No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 8

(8:57:31 AM) Kleink: *nudge* go and get breakfast.
(8:58:49 AM) cranky: I just did. :)
(8:58:57 AM) Kleink: Good :)
(8:59:01 AM) Kleink: Now pdf!
(8:59:16 AM) cranky: I’ll think about it. ;)
(8:59:23 AM) Kleink: N
(8:59:24 AM) Kleink: O
(8:59:25 AM) Kleink: W
(8:59:41 AM) cranky: -giggle- Yes ma’am.
(9:00:20 AM) Kleink: Good. And you’d better make sure to say that you refused to update on time despite my nagging! ;)
(9:00:47 AM) cranky: I’ll note that it’s all my fault and that you nagged me and that I had nightmares because I didn’t update on time. ;)
(9:01:17 AM) Kleink: Good. Wouldn’t want people to think I’m getting lazy :D

So, as you can see, it’s all my fault, Kleink nagged me, and I had nightmares because I didn’t update on time.  (No, seriously, I actually had a nightmare about it last night.  I woke up at 1am remembering that I’d forgotten to do it despite being reminded all day.)

Now I have to actually get off my ass and finish the next chapter before next week.  I’ve been S-L-A-C-K-I-N-G.  Granted, I HAVE been fighting with the chapter. (It only decided yesterday where it wanted to go.  I think the comment was that the chapter must be a man, because it didn’t want to stop and ask for directions.)  I’ve also been in the middle of four manuscripts.  The faster I get this one done, though, the faster I can get started on the next one, which is going to be fun (one of the main characters will be Wes).  After that, we’ve got a non-wolf Intentions story that we’ve been DYING to get started on.  It’ll be a blast.

Speaking of which, though, considering that Kleink has agreed to co-author with me, the domain and release name no longer seem appropriate – after all, I AM aware that it’s not always about me. ;)  We’re in the process of obtaining a new url[url obtained],  etc.  Once things move, we’ll let everyone know where to find us.

For everyone who contacted me and wished me luck after last week’s post, thanks!  I appreciate the support.  Here’s hoping the crapload of resumes I’ve been sending out actually get me somewhere.

No Room For Intentions (Vol. 2):

Aiden’s been turned into a wolf-Were, Rain’s Pack has moved out to their own territory, and their population is larger by one cub. Everything should be settled, right?

WRONG. Teagan, the coyote-Were who betrayed his own kind to save Aiden, is being hunted for what he did. The Pack isn’t about to let anything happen to him, but resident punk Max is at loose ends when Teagan neatly inserts himself into his daily life. It’s up to Teagan to teach Max that even lone wolves can be tamed. The question is, will Max survive the lesson?

May 11 2012

No update on Saturday this week.

After talking to Kleink, I’ve decided to not do a release on Saturday, but I have a good reason.  The whole story is here, but basically I’ve found out that my position at the company is being eliminated at the end of the month, and I’ve got to rush around like a madwoman (or a crankytiger) trying to get my resume updated and sent out.  Unfortunately, writing fiction full time doesn’t pay my mortgage, no matter how much I wish it did.

However, I don’t see a reason why I shouldn’t be able to update on the 19th.  In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed for me, will you?  Here’s hoping something pops up quickly…

No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 7

Better late than never?  I should have posted this yesterday, but I got distrac– OooOoOOooo, look, something shiny!

(Sorry.  The week of my birthday tends to be a bad week, and it always knocks my routine out of whack.)

Regardless, here’s 7.  I’m told that I’m going to have the next one written by tomorrow, or Kleink will throw a really big tantrum (and not let anyone videotape it so I can see it – how mean is that?!)

May 02 2012

This is why you get no short story in May.

And this is why I’m not bothering with a short story for May at this point.  Despite the fact that I tend to ignore my birthday, I’m still taking it off, darnit.  Leave the cranky old lady alone. :)

(And hey, as long as I still get carded every time I go get cigarettes for D, I think I have every right to claim to be 25.  So there.  Maybe if I’m feeling younger next year, I’ll be 21.  It varies depending on how old I feel at the time.)

No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 6

Look, it’s not even noon here, and I got an update done!  (To be fair, the only reason I got it done so early is because Kleink forced me to PDF this week’s release last weekend.  She’s so mean to me. ;) )

Here’s chapter 6, and it ends with a bit of a cliffhanger.  Sorry about that, but I think you’ll survive until next week.

I’ll be doing another post on Wednesday, explaining why there’s no short story this month. ;)  See you then!

No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 5

IT’S SO HOT.

Yes, seriously, I’m starting off a release post bitching about the weather.  It’s HOT.  I HATE HOT WEATHER.  Especially since it just took me several hours to get my copy of Adobe to quit crashing while I was PDFing.  ARGH.

Anyway, chapter 5!  I’ll be trying to finish out the chapter I’m working on this weekend, so Kleink doesn’t kill me.  The sooner I get volume 2 done, the sooner 3 can be started on, and that’ll be fun – mostly because Kleink’s agreed to co-author it with me.  Much easier to write if both halves of the brain are working on it, and not just my half.

Have a good weekend, and if you’re in an area with nasty heat – stay cool!  I’m going to go sit on our air conditioner now…

No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 4

I’ll admit that I had the PDF for this done a couple hours ago.  I completely forgot to post the release, though, until Kleink reminded me.  Whoops.

I’m quite sure that I wouldn’t know what to do without all her nagging. ;)

Here’s chapter 4, dears.  Enjoy!

No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 3

Technically, it’s still Saturday.  It’s just 12 hours later than I prefer to post.  Oops.  Good thing Kleink remembered that I hadn’t posted, because I sure didn’t.

So despite my hideously bad memory, here’s chapter 3. ;)

A Deceptive Exchange

Happy April, everyone!  I love this month, if only because my brother’s birthday is in a couple weeks.  Also, I hate to see winter leave, but the very beginning of spring is quite nice.  I enjoy it.  I just wish spring didn’t have to evolve into summer, when I turn into a whiny mess of a tiger who constantly complains about HOW FREAKING HOT IT IS.

At any rate, in celebration, I have a very short story, as I promised yesterday.  (VERY short, the actual story itself is only two pages long!)  I hope you enjoy it.  The 18 and over warning is indeed missing from this one, as there’s no hot man-love involved.  Sorry.  There’s plenty of cuteness, though.

You’ll notice that a new category (called “Shorts”) has been added to the menu above for short stories not related to a series or volume.  (If it hasn’t been added, that’s because I forgot to hit “publish”, and will fix that as soon as I realize I forgot.  Give me a break, I’m writing this late the evening of the 31st to actually publish on the 1st and I’m TIRED! ;) )

A Deceptive Exchange

A Deceptive Exchange:

Thomas hasn’t spoken to Nathan in over two days. What could Nathan have possibly done that was so bad, and can he make his stubborn Thomas listen to his apologies?

No Room for Intentions (Intentions 2) – Chapter 2

I’m only a few hours later than usual, not too bad.  Especially considering I didn’t get time to PDF chapter 2 until this morning.  (It’s Kleink’s fault.  No, seriously, it is! ;) )

I really need to get around to finishing chapter 9…  The last couple of weeks have been busy!  No rest for the wicked, as they say.  Except in my case, it’s no rest for the perverted, I think.

There’ll be another release tomorrow, a short story for April, which is NOT Intentions-based.  If I recall correctly, it’s only about 2 pages (yes, I still need to PDF that one, too).  It’s so short, even GiggLz could stay awake through it! ;)

No Room For Intentions (Vol. 2):

Aiden’s been turned into a wolf-Were, Rain’s Pack has moved out to their own territory, and their population is larger by one cub. Everything should be settled, right?
